Strut And Shaftlog Question

I Am Reinstalling My Strut And Shaft Log On My 23.3 Formula. What Is The Best Sealant For These Two Parts To Seal Them To The Hull Permantely To Prevent Water Intrusion? Also Is A Laser Best Used To Align These Two Together? Thanks Dave In Fort Lauderdale

We used MarineTex epoxy

I don't know what else is out there that would be useable, but the shop where I worked used MarineTex epoxy.

I'm not sure what the best way to align the strut is, but do that one first. Then align the the shaft to the trans/v-drive using the shaft itself, and allowing for a little bit of droop over the length of the shaft. After those are done, use the installed shaft to align the shaft log and packing gland.
