retractable propulsion

Hi,

I am a student from Groningen, Holland (Hanzehogeschool) and studying mechanical engineering. For an assignment of my skool I have to design a propulsion system that when it isn`t used it will desapear in the hull and when it is used it can be lowered. I am trying to get info of the internet, but there isn`t much i can find. Maybe somebody can help me with info, where did you see it before, wich company build it and that sort of stuff!!!!

Hi Mattlotar

I've only seen one site, www.easy.i8.com
They have a design of a catamaran that looks like the twin outboards retract into the hull when not in use. Excellent for security when a boat is moored.

Regards
Poida

Wait a couple of days and my new design will be posted on my website. It has retractable prop units.
