440 Chrysler help!

The guy giving me a project boat has offered to sell me a rebuilt 440, walters v-drive, and velvet drive to go with the boat. Unfortunately, the boat originally had a 360 in it, so the bellhousing won't match the 440. I've done a little research, and have found nothing on 440 bellhousings for a velvet drive. I know they exist, just can't find it! Is it worth it to buy this rebuilt engine for $2500, or should I go with a more common engine? The boat is a 1968 25' Luhrs flybridge, so I would like more hp to push the heavy boat around. Thanks!
