1981 ski supreme drive shaft

    I guess you may need to know that the transmission is a velvet glide on the boat that the drive shaft attached to, also any clue as to how you get the drive shaft past the ruder? Wheel pull?

    In order to remove the Drive Shaft, you need to disconnect & move the Strut OR remove the Rudder OR disconnect & move the motor out of the way. One of these three items has to move. Sorry, there is no easy way to remove the shaft.

    You may have to use a wheel puller to get the prop off. Once off, if the boat was designed correctly, the shaft should just clear the rudder when it is amidships. If not, cuss the manufacturers then drop the rudder. May also need a puller to get the coupler off the other end.
