No, I wouldn't consider it so drastically complex. It's not a 'routine work' surely, but nothing impossible for a RANSE VOF program and within its current limits. As you say high Fn is the main limit, and planing boats in seaway are out of reach right now. But that turbine platform has no forward speed, so this simplify things. Moreover another great advantage is that it's anchored to the sea bed. So it's not really floating on the surface, or at least its movement should be rather limited. That really helps. Said this, testing it in a basin may give a 1-2% accuracy, while CFD 10-20%, so the difference with experiments is still remarkable and must be accepted for what it is. However with CFD you can make colourful videos, that are very cool! ![]()

Perhaps you had better change your advertising from "catamaran sea-going stability for the roughest conditions " " eventually, will have catamaran sea-going stability for the roughest conditions " ![]() Having a little interest in this sort of concept, I wonder why you opted for a non-shrouded turbine solution ? From my limited research, with tide driven applications, being able to funnel the flow past the turbines is supposed to give a huge increase in output. Having a "surround" or "tube" for the props might a) Give better protection in heavy weather b) Make a more rigid hull to fight bad sea conditions. c) Provide more robust directional stability than the thinner section 'tailplanes"

Hi Friends, I performed an analysis in aqwa workbench on a hull and found the pressure due to wave loadings. Now I want to transfer this data to aqwa wave or asas for structural analysis under his wave loading. Can anywone tell me the procedure to transfer the data obtained from the analysis to ansys aqwa wave or asas? Regards Nabeel
