Volvo AQ170B to Ford Falcon 6 cyl

Hi
Im looking at changing my Volvo AQ170B for a Ford Falcon engine. The Falcon engines Im looking at are the EA-EF or EL (1989-2002). Are any of these Ford engines better than the other?
My other key issue is getting and adaptor plate to fit the old Volvo bellhousing to the Fod engine. Any help here on where to get one from would be excellent.

Any tips/advise greatly appreciated.
