I own a 1990 IMP 32' Express Cruiser with twin 454 Bravo1 drives I need to repower what is my best option rebuilt 454 the new 383 mercruiser

Well, if you want to keep it as cheap as possible, go with rebuilt 454's, so you don;t have to spend money on new bellhousings and such. If you just want more power, you can always throw a nice Edelbrock intake on it, and you can get some great flowing exhaust manifolds on ebay for a BBC.
