Re Power 26' continental

The MBL twins are tired and need to be rebuilt. Have toyed with the idea of replacing them with V-8 s. Looking at small hemi or Cadillac motors. Several 331 to 390 motors have been marinezed and are available. Or do i look at a larger MCL 6's. Any thoughts? Would like a little more speed and torque. Thanks

The 8.1 GM (501CI) is only 70lbs heavier than a 5.7. It has a lot of torque
