omc 3.0 to 5.7 conversion

I have a bayliner capri project boat that currently has a 3.0 omc in it and would like to convert it to a 5.7. Can I still use the outdrive that i have? what will i have to change? can the boat handle it?

i have same boat an same question... have a thread going i think its titled omc 3.0 conversion.. have been told that no u can not cause the outdrive of the 3.0 wont take the power of a 350... look for my thread the guy was very informative... hope this helps
