HC700 Donovan in Navy Seal Attack Boat??

Hi, I'm new to this forum. I have a dillemma concerning a Donovan HC700 big-block Chevy style engine block used in a Military attack craft. It has 750 cu. in. w/ .400" raised cam and 11.100" deck height. I purchased one of these bare aluminum blocks, used, from a Navy auction. The problem I am having is that the block is missing the main caps and has 3" mains and a center thrust bearing. It uses Oldsmoble bearings and crankshaft. Has anyone had experience with these animals? The folks at Donovan aren't inerested in talking to me about making a set of caps for a used engine block. Their suggestion was to cut it in half and throw it in the aluminum barrel. Unfortunately, it's a brand new block that they sold for $8,750.00. I am trying to find a set of main caps or the dimensions to make some replacements. The vessels themselves were built by Innovation Marine somewhere in Florida, according to Donovan. Try some high performance race engine builders who advertise Donovan blocks on their websites. Automotive or marine, shouldn't matter for main caps, and anyway most of these guys build engines for cars AND boats.

Any good tool and die shop should be able to make them for you. If there aren't any in your area I can put you in contact with some over in my area.
