| Gas or 2-stroke inboards Struggling to find a small (approx 50-80hp) inboard engine for a new design. Note that Rotax only supply to Seadoo, Weber are too tall for the application and Yamaha do a small 2-stroke engine but for competition only i.e. fails on emissions. Any thoughts would be appreciated, noting that I don't really want to buy a jet-ski to strip down. Regards to All |

| Is this for a single project or are you going into production?

| The Bombardier/Seadoo dealer won't sell you a power package? They normally have replacements for Seadoos.

| I'm just getting the dims from a local dealer, but they are not too happy to supply - although if it is the right height..... I suspect it will be too tall however as they are all based around the 1500 4-stroke ie. 130HP plus... |

| What type of gear, wheel, shaft setup do you desire? Are you thinking jet? I don't have any suggestions at this point but I am curious.

| Jet. Investigating pwc technology but even these engines seem a little tall and powerful for the proposed application. |

| Look at the ROTAX and HURTH engines made for ultra lightaircraft . Most are air cooled , but some are water cooled. Almost all are 2 stroke and really light. Most have 1000 hours before overhaul. FF |

| Thank you folks... I think we have a way forward starting with a Yam 2-stroke 2-cyl if we can get around the emissions issue or possibly a Seadoo (rotax) if we can convince those who supply that we are not in competition with their brand. Many thanks again. |
