Software Upgrades 10/04/05

Both the Forum and Gallery software have been updated. Thanks very much to everyone for your patience today as the work was underway. If you found you needed to login again today, this was the reason.
  • If your browser reports errors or dropdown menus don't work, please force a refresh (CTRL + F5 for Windows IE or shift + reload for Firefox, Mozilla) as errors are likely due to old versions of the page elements being cached still.

  • If you have problems logging in, visit http://www.boatdesign.net/forums/mycookies.php and http://forums.boatdesign.net/mycookies.php , select all the checkboxes, and click "delete cookies". You should then be able to login fine to the updated forum software.
If you encounter any new issues with the updated software, please post them here.

Thanks very much as always.

New features / upgrades include:
  • Faster in-line editing for small changes

  • "Quicker" quick-replies

  • Ability to include up to 24 attachments per post, multiple at a time instead of having to upload one at a time.

  • Ability to post attachment thumbnails in-line instead of all at the bottom (easiest way is to upload the attachments using manage attachments, and then use the dropdown next to the paperclip icon in the rich text editor to place them where you want)

  • Database is now used to keep track of which threads you have read and which are new, instead of using cookies for this.
