| Question Hi, I joined this forum recently and I'm getting constant email notifications of responses to threads I posted in. I tried to turn that off in the control panel but they still are sending me email update notifications. Is there some way to turn that off? Thanks |

| Hi Starman, If email notifications bug you, do the following: Click "User CP" on the forum controls bar at the top. Click "Edit Options" in the first box on the left. In the "Messaging & Notification" section, change "Default thread subscription mode" to whatever you prefer. This won't affect threads you're already subscribed to. To unsubscribe from those threads, use the appropriate button under "Thread Tools" (at the top right of the thread display while you're reading posts). If you're using a modern email client or webmail system, you can also set up a filtering rule to funnel everything from boatdesign.net into one folder.

| As Matt said, first under your UserCP set the notification for any new posts you make to what you want: the choices are instant email notification when someone replies, weekly or daily summary only, no email notification, or no subscriptions (which means no email and no list in your user cp) If you want to stop emails being sent for threads you've replied to in the past with email notification set to on at that time, or subscribed to in the past, go to your UserCp and click the left menu "list subscriptions" (http://www.boatdesign.net/forums/sub...wsubscription). You can click the box at the top to check all the boxes on a page there, and then click either "no email" or delete the subscriptions. You can also send a pm to me or send an email to webmaster (at) boatdesign.net from the email listed on your account here and just ask that no notifications be sent to you and I will be happy to help. |
