Ignore list

If I put a member in my "ignore list" does it prevent him from sending abusive PMs?

Yes, if you place someone on your ignore list, you should not see PMs from them sent while they are on your ignore list.

To make it easier to not be bothered by people who you do not want to read posts from or hear from, if you click a user's name above a post there are now two options in the fly-out menu (for logged in members)
  • Add this person to your Ignore List
  • Add this person to your Buddy List

Before you had to go the ignore list and type the person's name or click through from their profile page. If you choose to ignore a person, instead of their posts within threads on the forum you will simply see a one-line option to remove the person from your ignore list in case you wish to at a future time. And you will not receive any PMs they send while they are on your ignore list.
