How to Remove old Posting

I have a couple of postings still up that I need to remove. I have received a couple of responses and don't want people to spend time on questions that have been resolved.

Thanks

One way is to go to the posting you want to remove and enter through the edit button. Delete or modify the message then save. There may be better and easier ways, LOL I'm a neanderthal fumbling around in the dark with these kind of things.

It's very courteous to expend effort to not waste other's time. Perhaps if it is an interesting topic you could simply post that you have received adequate input. Then perhaps others could still share in the advice that was helpful to you in your situation.

This is generally the best.

One of the main premises of our forum is that many people have questions that many others can learn from. So in answering one person's specific question, everyone is also contributing to the pool of knowledge. Then when someone else has the same or a very similar question, they can search and read how others solved it.

If it's a topic that is time sensitive, where discussion is no longer possible, you can also click "flag for moderator" and the thread can be closed.

But in general, I'd ask you to simply post a note that the issue is resolved. In an ideal world, people would also post how it worked out for them for anyone in the future who has the same issue.

Thanks.
