Quite a few. First, only about 50% of those who register post. Some may intend to post but not follow through, while others may post in the future. One reason to register even if you don't intend to post at the current time is that once registered and logged in, the forum will keep track of which threads you have read and which contain unread posts, and you can subscribe to a thread without posting to follow any updates. Then about 15% only post once and 8% only post twice. Some post a simple question and get an answer and don't find their way back. Others may post an unanswerable question or not like the answer they receive, for example, when the cost of their dream is much greater than anticipated or when a new technology that they come very excited about isn't there yet in practice. Obviously it's greatly appreciated when someone who asks a question follows up with their results, but it doesn't always happen. On the other hand, some of the one time posters are those who take the time to follow up on older discussions, saying "I own this boat now" or "what you were asking about back then was this." Even if the thread doesn't come back to life, it's always appreciated when someone takes the time to share their knowledge.

    Great thanks,I was curious.

"for example, when the cost of their dream is much greater than anticipated or when a new technology that they come very excited about isn't there yet in practice. "

Must confess I've been a bit of a dream crusher on both points.
But,the truth will set you free-or in these cases it'll stop you from blowing your life's savings.
