where in Florida to buy balsa core to repair sole

Anyone know who has end grain balsa to re core a sole? I'm in far south Florida - hope there's someone close by that stocks the stuff.

Quite a few in the Lauderdale area. Seafarer, Joe's auto (actually a large fiberglass supplier), Many more, check the yellow pages. or go on line.

Thanks. To do a flat floor, should I use the kind that is cut into blocks with a cloth backing? I forgot what they call that.

You seem to be describing Kligacell (not the right spelling) that is used for curved surfaces. There are a few different sandwich materials that will work better. I am a touchy feely guy and I go to Merritt or Seafarer and see what I'm getting. You should also. They will explain the qualities of the different materials. It's worth a drive up north.
