of glass to resin/epoxy? I did some laminating on a stringer using the 50/50 ratio by weight, and although I have no indication that there is a problem, the fibers on the glass surface are fairly noticable. Now the glass on horizontal surfaces is smooth and shiny I know that's not optimal either. This was done before I got a feel for the amounts and spreadability.

I am wetting out 3620 biax , 2 layers, (required to bring repair up to same thickness as original), using a pan, chipbrush and roller to spread out the epoxy.

If you're getting 50/50 resin/fiber ratio, particularly on this thick a hand laminate, you're right there. You can improve the fiber ratio with bagging or other methods, but 50/50 by hand is about what you can get.

Is there a way to tell if it's resin starved? Other than it falls off?

Yes, it will be whitish and have bubbles instead of clear and translucent.

Then I'm good to go, as I made sure that the glass was wet all the way through.
