vacuum bag hull drying

Just a thought? Is it possible, realistic to use vacuum bagging to dry a waterlogged hull. I know moisture us supposed to dissapate when put under a vacuum. Will it work to get the last drops out after a month of air drying?

Sure, there is even a company selling a system that combines vacuum with heat-blankets to increase evaporation.

more info

Thanks for that. Do you have any info on the manufacturer? How much pressure do you need and how can you tell when it's dry? The boat is in the tropics so after a month of drying hopefully a bit of good dry weather and a vacuum finish, maybe I won't need the heat blankets.

If I recall correctly, the company and the system is called "Hotvac".

The should be at www.hotvac.com. Good luck with this. Here in NL it seems to work very well.
