So what's the word on aluminum powder and reflecting radar? The aluminum is coated so it won't conduct electricity, and with the very small particle size I don't know if it would help much or not.

Maybe large metal flake like a 70's bass boat would do the trick

Don't know either.. thou carbon conducts electricity so how that differes on radar screen compared GRP or wood?

graphite coating is used to absorb radar reflection, carbon fibre should have the same property. (swedish visby class is made out of cf for that reason, and weight savings.)

The specifications for the ground plane I have mounted calls for stainless steel wiremesh with mesh opening of less than 2 mm.

The wiremesh is embedded in the uppermost layer (near the gelcoat) and electrically connected to the ground plate through copper strips.

There is an aluminum (conductive) coated WR used in large sattelite dish but the OEM did not allow it. Works out ok though. Expensive but it works well on fiberglass sattelite dish.
