Stringer and Deck fiberglassing ?

Hello I recently bought a 19 ft fiberglass ski boat and I need to replace the floor and stringers . This is what I know so far . I take treated 2x4's and fiberglass them for the stringers . 1. How do I connect them to hull ? 2. Will just fiberglassing them on hold up well ? ok then after I connect stringers in and put in gas tank in the floor I take 3/4 treated plywood and fiber glass the underside and screw them down to the stringers with 1 1/2 " SS screws . After that I resin the floor and let dry for +/- 16 hours then I apply fiberglass mat then use ? unwaxed resin . Let dry (scuff or no scuff ? ) then apply 2nd coat with nonskid additive with (waxed or unwaxed ) resin ? one final thing . I was wandering about this . If I gel coat the floor wouldnt it be slippery or would that be the final step ? thanks alot for reading and if you could help me out you will be greatly appreciated .

What size fiberglass cloth should I use on the top of the deck ? 2 oz or thicker

make your stringers out of pressure treated and DRY plywood,it is more stable than solid wood. Tab the ply in with 2 layers of 1810 stichglass. set the stringers away from the hull by 1/4". I use blobs of poly caulking every 2 feet.

I am in the process of buying a project boat, A 1979 apollo the deck is already mostly ripped out and the stringers are bad... I have been looking thru the message boards for as much info as possable, But I hve yet to find anything I fullly understad. I have never done any of this work before and am excited to try my hands at it. The foam is still in and some of the deck is still in place. should I cut out all the deck and if I do am I supposed to pull the engine? and am I supposed to remove the old foam and totally remove the old stringers? any info would be appricated!

pull the motor and remove all foam its probably old and will absorb water.

Ok I pull the engine then am I also supposed to remove all the cabin stuff and do that deck and foam?

replace the foam and check the condition of the stringers,if they are soft you have to replace them. Its not an easy job but most fiberglass work isn't.

so do I need to go into the cabin? how do I check the deck under the cabin with out F@#$ing it up?
