| Stringer When installing new stringer,what is applied under edge of stringer where it meet's hull?? 5200,cloth ?? I know about glassing it in but concerned where the stringer contact's hull. |

| I just replaced the stringers in my 17' Cobia and didn't put anything between the stringers and hull. What I did was use epoxy and filler to create fillets to smooth the transition from the vertical stringer to the hull and allow the glass to adhere properly. I had also used the same material (epoxy and filler) to fill any gaps between the hull and stringer but didn't use anything as an adhesive. |
