| I missed out on the small drama of late September. I have 2 questions: How long has the last layer of paint been left to cure, and what type of paint was used? (acrylic, polyurethane)

| We used 545 as the release coat. Then cleaned, sealed and put on 4 or 5 passes with Chemlease release agent. (Not ever using that stuff again.) Our vendor said they could get Loctite FMS/FMR for us but didn't. He claimed ChemLease would work as well.... Switched back to Loctite. Sam

| For tooling I would definately let the paint cure for a week or more, then apply a good sealer, (can be a semi perm., Ferro FS10) and then good old high-temp paste wax. (my customers get good results with both Ferro FR16 and Meguiar 87) No release problems, no gelcoat application problems
