I have also heard what you said before, but unfortunately in this world where professional ethics are forgottten by most and the lack of it is even rewarded by economical profits although I do trust you, it is always a good advise to keep the eyes well open.

I will keep my build as a epoxy/corecell/sandwhich even below the waterline but a bit worried still since a boat might be 20 years in the brine and those test conditions can not be completely reproduced in a test lab ( unless you wait 20 years off course ) ( they can also be accelerated by changing lab conditions like hot water as you suggested)

I have seen many boats converted into sluggish pigs weighting a ton in water alone, due to lack of honesty of boat builders using PU, the vast majority of them knowing what they where doing: producing a light in the moment of purchase boat which will be a pig in two years.

Many are still injecting PU foam in their boats today despite the poor tracking record, proving how honest with their customers they are.
