In a sarcastic tone....... let me know how that turns out. These things are like hens teeth. I have been looking for several months with no luck. I refuse to belive that they are not manufactured any more. Some one must have a led?...........

Tell me about it, I sold the last one I had before going overseas. Now can't find a replacement.

If you don't need bunches of them, or even if you do, you can stamp the number into some soft metal, put some release on it, make a few reverse positives with some bondo, put release on them and apply them when the time is right.

I seem to remember someone saying that metal casting suppliers sold the actual reversed character label makers.

3/4" tape and 1/4" letters, that does not look like it will meet the requirement.

metal numbering stamps are available at:

http://www.mcmaster.com/#metal-stamps/=a5hj86

They are expensive but last forever if you don't lose a part

A very very inexpensive source is: $ 10 or so US}

http://www.harborfreight.com/catalog...q=metal+stamps

I have only used the Mcmaster Carr stamps.
