| What to use Replacing wooden bulk head on glass boat I have an older silverton glass hull, glass over wood upper, the bulkhead that seperates the interior from from the aft deck is soft. What is the best material to replace it with and where can i get it. I need to make two panels each 3/4 thick 6'6" x 48". White would save re finishing. Love this site, thanks to all for you very interesting and insightfull posts .. |

| the surface is sanded, so you have to smooth out the joints regardless. the hatch is epoxied and needs to be faired big time.

| Unfortunately not While speaking with Space Age and planning the project, I ran out of time and then of course was about to lose my storage so we went the old plywood and epoxy route. With this said I am still stuck with fairing this year and finishing inorder to throw out the cheap carpet I put over the sole last year. It would have been much easier using their product.

| i am again going to recommend COOSABOARD , it is ridgid like plywood and after it has been put in place and glassed will leave you with a straight surface requiring the least amount of fairing . Fiaring isn't too hard using a product like f-26 ,it sands easy and will give you a nice surface to paint . tb ( not a coosaboard salesman just like their product) |
