I have been on a few threads about stringers, and I do appreciate the input, most of you guys have forgot more about resins than I will know, I bought a fiberglass motorsailer that has a wood topsides and deck but a fiberglass hull, the hull is in good shape, but I have had to replace the aft deck and the port and starboard decks around the wheel house, the boat was constructed with mahogoney beams and plywood, I used treated wood for the beams and fir plywood as the replacement wood for the decks, what I need to know is when I reglass the decks, the aft deck, and the topsides can I used polyester because of the cost and seal with epoxy later I attached the 2x6 treated wood to the fiberglass hull with 7 inch ss 1/4 bolts and sealed with 5200 and then installed the fir plywood to the deck

Epoxy it. Polyester will cost you in the end anyways. I know it hurts, but use epoxy.

Suck it up my man, epoxy. Would we do you wrong? Do it right the first time so you can get to the other projects on your list. Trust us, you WANT to use epoxy.

Epoxy it is, thanks fellows, after I finish the glassing I will either try to make or buy a mast, but that is another day, are there any good web sites to buy epoxy?
