PVC board

looking for opinions on the use of PVC board in transom and floors ? I saw a fellow who uses (3) layers of 1/2" PVC( not foam) between mat and WR layers when building the transom of a 15' skiff. Also uses it to form the floor . I was under the impression polyester would not bond to the PVC.

Polyester resin bonds to PVC very well. Epoxy won't bond at all. Just get a piece of pvc pipe and lay a piece of glass cloth on it with some resin and let it cure.
