please tell me about Coosa products

I talked to Coosa composites today and was very impressed with there customer service up to this point. There sending me some samples so hopefully there product is equally impressive.
I'm looking for some input from you guys that have used it. They tell me that the properties are similar to plywood, lamination is basically the same, and weight savings is 40%-60%, is that true? I was kind of disappointed that they don't have scoured sheets for deck and hull cores.

Any and all info is much appreciated.

I had a customer laminate it into his foil blank as a high density insert. Which meant I had to mill it.... tiny bits of 'glass everywhere that didn't necessarily get sucked up by the dust skirt. Every time you handle it, it feels like you've stuck your hand into nettles. And I'm used to working with fiberglass!

we at Twin Vee use it as our tans. core. have switched from plywood. we have recently done this so we dont have much field data as of yet. we are also in the process of switching to coosa for all of our wood core. so far it seems to be alright. as for stringers, it can be used. i know a few companies who do thie already.

coosa board

we have used coosa board in the construction of our mini-trawlers and had very good results ,we worked with gloves to avoid the splinters, it is 45 % lighter than plywood and you can use normal woodworking tools .check out our website www.appleislandmarine.com " look for construction story of "full circle" there are alot of pictures . we used plexis as our adhesive .

We are considering Coosa board for the transom core, stringers, bulkheads and deck in a 5m RIB hull we are building. We have thought of using Bluewater 26 for everything - 1.5" transom, .5" for stringers/bulkheads, .75" deck. Comments from anyone with experience building with Coosa would be appreciated.
