The build started the day i went out with my girlfriend to buy a plastic kayak floaty thing for her twin sons, Damien and Lucifer(not there real names)
It seemed lil Damien found another interest other then pounding on his brother and destroying his surroundings...fishing..
He will sit and fish for hours...giving everyone a chance to stop looking over there shoulders and try to set the surroundings straight again...
I figured a boat for fishing would be a great idea...keep the kid occupied even longer...and you can see him coming from farthur away...
It was my girlfriend that decided on a sit on top kayak...i tried explaining fishing from one would be very difficult.
Off we went to every tourist trap store and marina within 100 miles..
WOW...$350.00 hard earned Canadian dollars for the cheapest shark bobber we could find...
On the way home with the recycled plastic abomination on the roof of the minivan i remebered the book "Build The New Instantboats by Harold Payson" and whined to my girlfriend that we could of built a REAL boat for less then 350.00...
Well she took me up on that...
I enjoyed every minute of building...
This is my second full size boat build, first being a fast flat water cedar strip canoe...i think maybe i will try a lapstrake build next time..

i misread title,,,,thought i saw nymphO,,,hehe
and we would of sent ya $50 american dollars to get the "plastic thingy" hehe
and DUDE,,,,WARN us when its a video clip,,,,i ran and took EXTRA "meds" because i thought i was "trippin" hehe,,,oh,,,,,Nice job!,,and it'll last 10 times longer then a plastic thingy,,more stable,,and YOURS!
