New project!

Ok folks, im about to start on this beast. Its a 31 sea ray SRV. 1981

First thing i need to do is take the Top Glass section off the stringers
for peek. What is the best way to remove the top Glass off the wood?

I did two small test drills in the stringers, One stringer has a bad spot
The other seemed ok. So while im there in going to make sure they all
are 100%

There is allot of foam In the front area of boat, Will i need to replace it
after the repair is done? If so what is the best product for replacement?

I have all the bottom out and the hull sides are about 70% exposed all around
Is there anything i could do to the inside of the hull BEFORE i recover to improve the boat? I will (on selective days) be fishing in ocean waters
So any tricks for improvement of ride/sound deadening would be great?

Ill take some pics and post them on this thread as i go. Help would be greatly appreciated. First pics coming tomorrow! thxs

Hi Searay31

You might want to hop over to bateau.com support forums. One of the admins there Shine (Joel) is rebuilding a Aquasport flatback.

http://209.190.4.227/forum/viewtopic.php?t=11294

He's documented the procedure and materials used in detail with photos. They're a great bunch of guys over there and can probably help you out. I think he frequents this forum as well so you might hear from him soon.

Rick
