| SamSam,is that a serious question ? I'm pretty sure i can tell if it runs, when i hook up a battery and a gas tank prime it up then put the "water ears" on the base of the engine and hit the key and it starts up within a few cranks that means it runs.It is not my intent to be harsh but man...why would i tell ya'll that it runs smooth if i didn know it for a fact ? |

I was just asking because in the boat-motor-trailer package the motor is the most expensive and essential part. Then the trailer, unless you have your own dock. An old rotted boat like you have is pretty worthless as is. Once you put time and money into it, it will have some value, but it can be expensive and it can be hard, nasty work, possibly unhealthy. It would be a shame if you got the boat fixed and then found out you have no motor. On my first boat the motor ran swell on the 'ears' but never did run under a load, I had to spend another $3400 to get another motor. |

| Oh,well that makes since.Once again i was not trying to be harsh.I should have mentioned I have actually had the boat out on the water a time or 2.It ran good and smooth without a single hickup, the floor was just soft everywhere and it felt like the carpet was all that was holding me up.Thanks for the tip anyhow. |
