Need Help with School- Please :)

I have a presentation to do on a method of construction of a composite ship/boat. We are going to be using this method to construct a model eventually. I am a naval architecture student in St. John's, NL. The method is Foam Core over Batons, or planks maybe. just wondering where i could find information on this? thanks un advance
