Now that's cute, could be a very good method for low-cost rapid prototyping.

I've only used styrofoam with doorskin plywood to make cheap sandwich panels before, but I think the technique has merits in certain applications.

    Styrofoam building

    Hi Doug,
I have built a couple of small boats in a similar way.
The main drawback is that the stuff is very poor in compression and it is very easy to dint the boat.
Unless you use vacuum, results are not particularly light.
I think is a good method for cheap experiments and expendable small boats.
    Marco.

Yeah, not a good way to make an heirloom piece to pass down through the generations.
