Also get a real small file set. They will be handy for shaping up minor imperfections in the repair. The tricky thing is getting the flex mold to roll out over the area to be filled without getting in air voids in the repair. Gibco's how-to describing a "wave" of gel-coat ahead of the pattern as it is rolled out is key. If you get a minor flaw or two simply touch it up and use the files to shape. With practice it gets better.

Also, to prevent bubbles, once you rolled the Flexmold back and applied a "wave" of gelcoat near to the edge that has been taped down, poke the gelcoat into the taped line with a mixing stick. This prevent airbubbles from being pushed into the repair.
