| METS 2010 Amsterdam Anyone going to METS in Amsterdam? There is a composite section. If you are there, feel free to drop by for a cup of coffee at booth 11.539. I am the one with an aerodynamic forehead...

| I just met yipster from this forum. METS is always extremely busy for us. Next time I just want a bar and tables. (basicly what we had now, just a large vacuum pump in the way now...)

| You could have used the pump as a bar instead of a stand to show stuff on... |

| My impression from a standholders point of view: -forums: not attended. I have no idea on where to get the time from. Mets is growing so big, that 3 days is getting short. -visitors: that is the important factor for me. I do not care about the number of visitors, but the number of visitors and the quality of them on my stand. The composite pavillion was moved from hall 1 to hall 11, and was larger than last year. We had a nice booth next to a glass facade, which made it light and spaceous. (and 24 m2 can be considered relatively large). Tuesday 10:00 the show opened. And nothing happened..... This was a scary moment. Finally in about an hour or so, the crowd reached the booth. And a crowd it was. It was a mix of existing customers, new prospects and every now and then a supplier. Coffee and drinks went like crazy, and everyone on the booth had a busy time. (I invited a couple of suppliers to join me on the booth) The others days were exactly the same. All in all our contact book was nicely filled. Differences with last year: -slightly less internationally oriented people, but those that were there, were serious about what they were doing, so all in all not a bad thing.

| Its always been a serious trade type show. Good to hear that the attendance vibes were positive. Things around the waterfront have been pretty melancholy for the past 18 months. I like visiting the METs because the representatives behind the booths tend to be specialists who can actually answer your questions, as apposed to Dusseldorf type brokers, salesman and dancing show girls . Even the people cruising the show are a level above normal boat show crowd. Oh and Lets not forget that a few nights in Amsterdam is also fun. |

| Indeed, METS is for gathering information, getting your questions answered, etc. very technical oriented.
