Is keel replacement easy?

    Yes the hull is solid fibreglass and the stains are from the preservative that I soaked the floorboards in. I had to laugh at your description of the textured bottom of the hull. The previous owner did a bit of DIY glassing on the transom to strengthen it up for a bigger outboard and I think he used a shovel to apply the resin! Not as bad as it looks in the pictures though. I now have the confidence to go ahead with this repair, thanks very much for your input. Colin
