| Infusion - resin up and down.. I am trying to infuse four layers of glass and 1" thick foam inbetween. Looking the inlet tube I have seen that some resin is entering into the test piece and then the infusion stops with the resin going "back" leaving a bubble of air in the inlet hose. After 20-30 seconds infusion start again and stops after 10-15 seconds. Wetting were slow, in the finish I have suceeded. Do you have any explanation? What are the levels of vacuum that you are using when infusing? |

| Thank you for your answer. Correct me, but when I try with high vacuum levels, my impression is that there is no "room" for resin to go thru? I have understood that after the surface is completely wetted I should apply full vacuum. Also, I am novice can you pls explain "double tape line". Made 2mm holes in foam every 20mm. |

| There is plenty of room for resin to travel. Even when the fibers are fully compressed (at endless pressure) there is about 30% of volume for resin. For now, try the following: -increase vacuum. As low as you can go. -check, double check and triple check vacuum integrity. Do you have any prior experience with resin infusion? Did you work at Prinz by any chance?

| Well that was my homework. I can obtain -30mm vacuum, the picture was taken when infusing. I will start next time with full vacuum. |

| You can use www.transferbigfiles.com. Can you include my address? herman at bugattibuilder dot com About Prinz: I hoped you would have worked there, then you would have seen some infusion work. They unfortunately stopped now.
