"Hull Laid up in Mold"

What does it mean when a builder or yard says "We have a hull laid up in the mold." Im assuming this means once upon a time someone started to build a hull and didnt get that far and left a hull in the mold. Does this make the mold unusable? What of the hull in the mold? Can that be used as well or not or ???

It means they haven't popped it out yet. The resin is green and needs to cure.

Part in mold should still be able to be used as long as not U.V. damaged.the part in the mold should be there to protect the mold.

It may also mean they forgot to spray in the mold release!

more info about that

The yard has not built the boat since mid/late 80's. They said there is a hull laid up in the mold since that time, so I am guessing resin is dry... I am kind of new at this so I am not sure why someone would just leave a hull in the mold. looks like to protect.

So.. would this be a hull that could be finished and sold? Or.. best to be left alone.
