hull design question.

i found a hull on a junk yard, conventional v hull speed ski boat 16 footer.

i want to salvaje the hull will separate deck and dispose of it.

my question is,,,

what changes should i do to the hull to make it a shoalowater skiff ?

should i cut a section and make it more flat bottom, and add a tunel in the back.

or just the tunnel.

im assuming this boat used to have a 70 hp engine or bigger,
i will be using a 25 hp outboard so i have to make this boat light.

luis

If the hull was on a junkyard it was probably there for a reason, I think that you are going to spend a lot more money fixing it than just buying a second hand good skiff hull

Im building a 32 ft spencer from kit ,got 20,000 in it to repair the same boat I would have 45000 in it , you might be better off with a kit boat ,,,,good luck .longliner
