Hull Design

I am looking to Deign a hull that can compete in Solar Splash. I am new to boating and was wondering the best stable design for our boat to go fast and be able to manuver fairly well. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Mag,

Search for books on this forum and buy all what is recommended, that's a start. or look at other boats that are competing in the Solar Splash and copy one. Or pay someone to design a boat.

Sorry, above reaction doesn't sound so nice. Could you be more specific with your question, do you have any idea of how the boat would have to look. Are there Racing Rules for the Solar Splash competition (should have been my first question).
