How long to leave a new mold before demolding

Hi I've just finished a vinylester/polyester boat mold 20ft in size,

How long do I need to leave it to post cure for before pulling it off the plug?

Cheers
Any help much appreciated

Most resin systems say full hardness in 7 days. The majority of your off gassing/shrinking should happen during that time. With a project that big I wouldnt want to take any chances demolding early.

Although I've demolded after one day and had zero problems (on small parts). I have ruined a 9' layup due to my boss wanting to demold after 24 hours. Was way to flimsy.

How long is not the point its cure of the resin used you are looking for . You need to warm the mould to about 30c plus and hold that temprature for 12 hours if possible so build a tent over it ,get a blower heater and gently cook it then let it completely cool out ,then demould .
