How to connect canopy frame to deck ?

I want to use screws not bolts with washers so the frame will be easy take away and easy for truck delivery.
Should I laminate some stainless steel plates under the deck so it will be much stronger, but I am a little worried about rust and leak.
Any guys have good suggestions ?

Laminate blind nuts into some G-10 or other backing plate bonded to the deck cap. This will permit you to use machine screws (bolts), which are stronger then wood or sheet metal screws.
