Hobbie Cat Rudder Core Material ?

An old one - not carbon fiber- Hobie 16-18

I may be grinding off some leading edge near the upper end where it isn't foil shaped ie making it foil shaped another 2-3 inches up.

What's under the gelcoat? is it foam or wood or?

Probably solid glass/resin. They weigh quite a bit.
