If i was you I would not replace the foam.

hey buddy my name is J. I have 2 fiberglass boats I am restoring. One is a 15' Bomber and the others is a 20' Glastron. I'm new the the fiberglass work my self but I have asked alot of questions and got a bunch of pictures to show and ask around. As far as the foam is i have been told many times not to put foam back in. It holds water and causes rot. The factory has to put the foam in to say if you hit something the boat will "stay a float" but that is your call.
I have stated working with fiberglass on a big hole I had in the bow of my Bomber. So let me know if you have and questions. i help if I can or look aroud for you..

Good luck.
J-bird
