has anyone tried putting a cabin on a whaler hull?

I recently saw a 17' whaler with a radon like cabin built up on it. How do u think it would ride. It had pretty nice lines. Does anyone have any info on this or have they tried it? know where i can get some pics? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
