| Glassing in a battery boz So I have made a box for my battery banks - 2 golf carts and 1 grp 31. I want to glass in the box on the Port side of the engine stringer - outboart of the stringer I have the soft arch of the hull. I have cut and fitted everything but am a bit hesitant, I am tempted to just grind down to get clean glass and just epoxy the ( laminated ply gussets) to the hull but I would think that I would need to glass/tab the gussets also. Looking for recommends for how to lay up - cheers |

| I think I see what you're trying to do. And I think mounting the box is mainly a question of how much disastrous chaos you're willing to tolerate in a big storm. If you like the idea of having batteries flying around the cabin when you're caught in a Force 8, just gluing it in should be fine. If you'd rather have your batteries stay where they belong, the box should be firmly secured, to the point where it can stay put (and keep the batteries contained) under perhaps a 3-G load (three times the weight of the batteries, acting in any direction). If you could post a few photos of how things look right now, we may be able to offer some more detailed advice.

| Get a big battery box like 8D, attach to what looks like fiberglass fake bottom and strap in place cover. I believe all three of your batteries will fit in one. |

| Just make sure that the box is vented. |
