Glass Mould Over Wood

I want to build a fibreglass version of my friends boat. I want to glass over its hull then remove the shell. I need some pointers like how thick should the glass be and how to make it structurally sound how to make the glass not stick to the wood etc. Thanks.

you need to paint your buddies boat with tooling gel first, then glass over that, and i take his is wood, ive never tried gel on wood before, but ya friends boat will be tooling gel red forever, or until he makes you sand it lol

That's a complicated question. How big a boat? How much HP?

No doubt, you will need to make bulkheads and other reinforcements. Might end up being an expensive experiment. You need professional help.
