Geocomposite for laminate

Has anyone used a geocomposite for an epoxy based laminate? I have built a number of carbon / kevlar / fiberglass canoes on a male plug mold, and was thinking that a geocomposite might make a good low cost laminate. Geocomposites are three layer materials, with non-woven polyester on the outsides, with an HDPE net on the inside. Any thoughts?

Thanks,
