If your still working on this here is my $.02. I tried the preval and would NOT reccommend it for gelcoat. sprayed so slowly I got about 2 ounces sprayed of the 6 ounce bottle in approx 15-20 minutes. And spatter, spatter, spatter. Did I mentioned it spattered? Not exactly good. And that was thinned to almost 20%. I also used a $12 Harbor Freight LVLP gun which was attached to a 6gallon pancake compressor. This worked really well except the compressor was underpowered so it was running constantly and I had to stop spraying intermittently, so if you had a 33 gallon available that would work great. The LVLP has a 2.0mm tip which worked well for the thicker gelcoat. The only complaint I had was its max psi is 45, and higher pressures, closer to 60psi have better atomization. Not bad thoough for a 12 dollar gun.
